The Santa Barbara, California metro area is served by one funeral home location operating under Foundation Partners Group. McDermott-Crockett & Associates Mortuary serves families in Santa Barbara and surrounding communities including Goleta, Montecito, Carpinteria, and the broader Santa Barbara County region. • McDermott-Crockett & Associates Mortuary is located at 2020 Chapala Street in the Oak Park neighborhood of Santa Barbara. Founded in 1906 by Charles Stephen McDermott and his wife Nora O'Leary, it is Santa Barbara's oldest continuously operating funeral home. The mortuary operates from a Gothic Revival chapel built in 1875, designated a City Landmark of Santa Barbara in 1982, with seating for approximately 175 and reception space for catered gatherings. Families seeking Jewish funeral services will find a Tahara room and shomer availability on site, and Spanish-language services are offered by staff.

When selecting a funeral home in the Santa Barbara area, families typically consider factors including proximity to where services will be held, the type of facility available, specific service needs such as cultural or religious accommodations, and whether on-site capabilities or partner-coordinated services better fit their preferences. McDermott-Crockett & Associates Mortuary does not operate an on-site crematory or cemetery, meaning cremation and interment services are coordinated through established provider relationships. Families planning veterans services or seeking military honors coordination may find it useful to confirm specific arrangements directly with the location.

Julie was so kind and empathetic, and she couldn’t have made things easier for us. I can’t recommend this place more for families who need the extra care as well as efficiency and organization while grieving the loss of a loved one.

It’s all in the people, and M/C has a number of very fine staff who simply know how to work with their customers in professional, responsive, kind, honest, and tactful ways. I would recommend Claire anytime!

Jen Parks and her team were extremely flexible and supportive during my experience with burying my father. Jen was responsive, so kind and handled many details without a moments hesitation. I felt very secure with her by my side through this experience. I really can’t recommend her and her team enough…just outstanding service. Thank you! Once again, Jen and her team were there for me and my family when we lost our mom within a year of losing our dad. She literally did everything necessary, never causing me a moment of stress…everything was seamless and beautiful. God bless them all.
