Today our family celebrated the life of my father with military honors, and I can say without hesitation that McGuinness Funeral Home in Woodbury provided one of the most compassionate, dignified, and flawlessly executed experiences our family could have hoped for during such a difficult time. From the very first meeting with Toni Marie, it was immediately clear that she understood exactly how we wanted to honor my father without us ever needing to explain it in detail. Although my father had been ill for some time, his passing came unexpectedly, and our family was scheduled to leave the country shortly afterward for a previously planned trip. We walked into McGuinness Funeral Home overwhelmed, uncertain, and honestly not even sure if I would be able to attend my own father’s funeral because of the time constraints we were facing. Toni Marie made the impossible happen. From coordinating the military honor guard, the American flag presentation, floral arrangements, casket preparation, and room setup, to gracefully managing the flow of services and even navigating strong personalities within our family, everything was handled with absolute excellence. Every detail mattered to her, and it showed. Toni Marie is truly a top-tier funeral director and a remarkable human being. McGuinness Funeral Home gave my father the honor he deserved and gave our family peace during one of the hardest moments of our lives. I cannot imagine trusting another funeral home with our family in the future. During one of the most difficult moments for our family, TJ McGowan Funeral Home staff Rosalinda Hammer and their incredible funeral director Carl Horn treated us with kindness, compassion, and professionalism. They handled my mother’s burial with great care and dignity, making sure every detail was taken care of beautifully. Carl even drove my father’s cremated remains along with my mom’s to the cemetery to be buried together. Making possible a promise i had made to both of them.
